ABOUT

ABOUT

2 Moon Cottage is a quiet oasis located on the southern edge of the historic village of NOTL, offering the best of town & country.

Designed to accommodate from 1 to 4 guests - a family, 4 friends or 2 couples – 2 Moons offers the comforts of home. Relax together in your own sitting room furnished with antiques, art & books, and even a little stove for those chilly winter evenings.  In the warmer weather, enjoy coffee or drinks on your own side patio, or watch the stars from beside the large fountain or the small fishpond.  Stroll into Heritage Rye Park through the rear garden gate, and on into the heart of town through trails & parks rich in historical significance.

Wake to birdsong, butterflies & bees. Enjoy a deluxe Continental breakfast served ensuite. Then stroll, cycle, shop, tour the fabulous local wineries, experience world class dining, regale yourself at the theatre... and return for the night by horse & buggy to the restful calm of a quiet retreat where you may just be able to see more than one  moon through the whispering canopy of ancient trees.

WHO I AM

WHO I AM

I came to NOTL & created 2 Moon Cottage quite simply because it is the loveliest village in the country.

After operating a highly successful B&B (Corktown Cottage) in the centre of Toronto – a dynamic, fast-paced, trendy post-modern city - I find myself at the very heart of the pastoral beginnings of the country itself, poised this year to celebrate its 150th anniversary!

Because of its historic significance, the town lovingly preserves its architectural heritage (boasting, for example, Canada's first purpose-built museum); the National Parks Commission beautifully maintains the public grounds & parks, and magnificent parkway the length of the Niagara River; and the local wineries, restaurants, shops and seasonal events offer an exciting blend of  tradition & innovation uniquely Canadian in spirit..

Please join me at 2 Moon Cottage while you explore the delights of the Niagara Peninsula – including wine tasting tours, some of the finest live theatre in the country, leisurely afternoons cycling through vineyards, hiking the Bruce Trail from Queenston, falling for the world famous Falls, etc, etc., etc...
